1. December plays from The Prague Youth Theatre
Take your kids to out for a little holiday fun. All in English and starting on Saturday with Collected Grimm Tales. Adapted by Carol Ann Duffy and dramatized by Tim Supple and the Young Vic Company. This amateur production of “Collected Grimm Tales” is a dark and funny dramatisation of the classic fairytales by the Brothers Grimm, including Hansel and Gretel, The Golden Goose and The Lady and the Lion. Book in advance!!!

2. First annual Czech toys and handicrafts advent market
More stuff for the kids! Head out to the first annual advent market, which will include goodies from the 40 best toy producers and traditional handicraft makers in the country. The program will include feature musicians, juggling and magic performances for children (and adults). All shops in the New Town Hall.

3. The Gulliver Airship – An exhibition
A unique monumental architectural intervention, inspired by the elegant shapes of early twentieth-century airships, is growing on the rooftop of one of the largest contemporary art spaces in the heart of Europe. The 42 m long steel and wood structure will become a new permanent space for literature at the DOX Center for Contemporary Art. Check out the special program.

4. Find some soul
The homegrown band, Duchess & The Kittens, are playing at Swan Divadelní Klub on Saturday for free and that means some lively soul blues, rhumba, tango, swing and punk music is all coming out to play. Grab a beer and a seat and enjoy.

5. 6th Annual Prague SantaCon
Yes, this is for real. Santa Claus is coming to Prague for the 6th annual Prague SantaCon. This is your opportunity to dress like Santa and be as merry as Santa. It’s all about spreading good cheer, drinking good beer, and singing loud for all to hear. These folks raise money for the charity Dobry Andel, which gives money directly to people facing serious illness, so bring a generous spirit along with your jingle bells!
